We’re still here.
Here’s a look back at Electric Cafe pt 3 in March, our last event pre-quarantine with the @johnnyzinfuzed team. It’s been a whirlwind since then and we wanted to let you know we are still here, we are grateful to be alive & well, and we miss everybody.
Each one of our events is special to us. When we plan, we make sure every action is with intention, every decision is consciously made, and every detail is not without purpose. Every event is built with you in mind. This event was no different.
Our events have always been diverse in race, age, gender and religion. The beauty of cannabis is that it does not discriminate. We come together with one common ground and that one thing is powerful enough to see past any differences. Unfortunately, there are those who choose to see otherwise.
The last few months shook up our worlds, individually & collectively. The recent chain of events have been upsetting, frustrating, disheartening, and painful. Amidst a pandemic & times of uncertainty, we experienced the world fight for justice. For George Floyd, for Breonna Taylor, for Ahmaud Arbery, for Tony McDade, for Trayvon Martin, for Laquan McDonald, Eric Garner, Freddie Gray, Aiyana Stanley Jones, for Sandra Bland.
We stand with Black Lives Matter. We stand for equal rights. We stand for human rights. We stand for justice & change. We stand for a plant that heals. We stand for economic & social reform in the industry. We stand for equity & diversity in the space we’re in. As a minority & women-owned business, we are here to make a difference. We take pride in creating events that welcome people from all walks of life and bring high level services to those who may not always receive it. We will continue to seek to empower those around us, to provide a safe & creative space that celebrates cannabis, and to make waves as purpose-driven leaders in the industry.
We are still here and we’re here for you. We can’t wait to see you guys again soon. Stay safe and stay tuned.
